The Institute for Holocaust Education (IHE) is Nebraska’s leading resource for accurate, meaningful Holocaust education. Each year, IHE works with approximately 200 educators, offering professional development workshops in Omaha and communities across the state.
IHE develops and distributes age-appropriate teaching resources that integrate Holocaust education into multiple disciplines, including social studies, literature, art, and language arts. Through these workshops, educators gain high-quality curricula, ready-to-use lesson plans, and best practices for teaching this complex history with accuracy and sensitivity.
Beyond classroom materials, participants leave with renewed confidence, practical teaching strategies, and a network of fellow educators committed to fostering critical thinking, historical understanding, and civic responsibility.
