The Institute for Holocaust Education strives to provide quality Holocaust education programming across Nebraska and beyond. We offer resources and training for educators, as well as events for students and the general public.

This innovative, creative arts program invites middle school art teachers (grades 6-8) to participate in a Holocaust-related art project which culminates in select pieces being exhibited at the Jewish Community Center during the month of April, including a special evening with students, teachers, family members, and Holocaust survivors.

A TYA (theater for young audiences) play, based on the book My Broken Doll: A Memoir of Survival of the Vichy Regime by Beatrice Karp as told to Deborah Pappenheimer. Students will witness Bea’s story in dramatic form and gain a better understanding of the events and emotions during the Holocaust.

The Searching for Humanity: Veterans, Victims and Survivors of World War II exhibit tells a powerful story about the Holocaust and those who rescued survivors from concentration camps. Your class can tour the exhibit, participate in hands-on activities and ADL anti-bias training, and learn from a Holocaust survivor.
